How to use Resize images

Set the width in pixels. Leave height blank to preserve the original aspect ratio, or enter both dimensions.

With both dimensions, choose padding, center cropping or stretching. More options controls output format, quality and the JPG background color.

Example
A 1600 × 1200 image resized to a width of 800 with height blank becomes 800 × 600.

How do I avoid distortion?

Leave height blank or choose a mode that preserves aspect ratio.

Does this change the original?

No. Download the new output file; your original stays unchanged.
